My Pop Math!

We played a Math Game Today. I call it 'My Pop Math'. Mom will draw Balloons and Bubbles with Math equations inside. If I solve the equation, I get to pop the Balloon/Bubble and Mom will make the special sound effects as I pop. My balloons will sound 'POP' and Bubbles 'BOING' ..and the hanging equations go 'BURT'.

  6. Hi Parimala,
Nice to know you. You can start off with alphabets identification if he is not there yet. Then move onto letter sounds, reading small words and so on. Same way with Maths - start with number identification, counting, skip counting, simple addition and so on. The alphabets lapbook would be a good activity to do with Prakash.I homeschooled my kid for 2 years starting at about 3yrs. This is the right time to start with Prakash. Good luck - you will have loads of fun and memories. Blog your activities then and there. :) Eager to see your works on your blog in near future.

  7. I found your post by searching for PopMath, which happens to also be the name of a new game for iPhone that I developed with my kids! Maybe your son will like it. In any case, I was thinking that the same game play could be used to teach words (synonyms, etc). Laurent
